Job Description - Project Associate
Technology Advisory
About LFE
Our mission is to help improve the effectiveness of the government machinery,
for delivering quality school education at scale
Leadership For Equity (LFE) is a Systems Change and Research Organisation that aims to strengthen the effectiveness of government school systems. At LFE, the fundamental belief is that Public Education Systems are by definition ‘gatekeepers’ of equity; and in a way, effective and sensitive public education systems will ensure that quality education is provided with every child.
LFE is born from a coming together of committed practitioners who acknowledge the complex,
multi-faceted and multi-layered nature of existing social inequities, without overly simplifying them in a hurry to find a technical solution. We see leadership as a continually evolving practice, rather than as a
role in an organisation or an aggregation of traits, in attempting to address problems of a complex nature.
LFE’s model of change for improving the effectiveness of government systems is by doing the following:
- CONSULT: Provide strategic and implementation consulting to improve the effectiveness of
educational programs
- ENABLE: Build Capacity and Support existing machinery to operate with increased effectiveness
- SCALE: Support high potential innovations to scale and institutionalise within the system
The emergence of LFE and its beginnings in education are also deeply connected to the need for such approach in the education ecosystem in India today, with a staggering number of interventions working in silos to ‘solve’ the problems confronting education. LFE was established in 2017 and registered as a Section 8 non-profit company under the 2013 Companies Act.
