Functions/Responsibilities

This role aims to to design and build applications for the Android platform native development, maintain existing software systems, help in code reviews and conduct design.

Skills required

The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with sound knowledge of programming languages like C++ & Java and 1-3 years of Android development experience.

Key skills would encompass:

• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and third-party libraries.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs focusing on integration with back-end services.
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Bitbucket.
• Passion for writing code that is clearly organized, well documented and efficient.
• Experience publishing Android apps to the play store.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
