Associate – Donor Management
About the Organization: Villgro is India’s oldest and one of the world’s largest social enterprise
incubators. We support innovative enterprises that solve critical issues faced by the poor. We
provide funds (grant/equity), mentors, networks and resources to innovative social enterprises in
sectors such as education, health, agriculture and energy.
Since our inception in 2001, we have incubated over 125 social enterprises with seed funding of INR
8 Crore. These social enterprises have generated 4,000+ jobs and secured INR 1270+ Crore in
follow-on funding to impact over 19 million lives.

Job Description:
This role will play a key part in ensuring the financial sustainability of Villgro, which has a direct
impact on the number of social enterprises Villgro can support and help scale. Currently, Villgro
works closely with numerous reputed national and international corporates, Foundations and
Government bodies such as The Lemelson Foundation, UNDP, GIZ, Accenture, HDFC Bank, Rabo
Bank, Yes Bank, The Technology Development Board of India, etc. These partnerships have played a
critical role in impacting over 19 million lives, which Villgro has been able to achieve to date. This
role will be responsible for bringing in more such reputed partners in order to strengthen and
expand Villgro’s mission.
The selected two people for this role will join an existing team of two individuals.
1. Pipeline Generation:
â— Research and document high-potential donors for Villgro in a systematic manner
â— Create and maintain a template of information on all researched donors
â— Provide recommendations on those donors which have high alignment with Villgro
◠Reach out to potential donors and organize meetings with Villgro’s senior management
â— Develop concept notes and proposals based on alignment between the donor and Villgro
â— Track outcomes of all meetings, conversations, concept note/proposal submissions
â— Provide recommendations to the team on when and how follow ups are required
2. Conferences & Seminars:
â— Research Indian and International conferences relevant for Villgro to attend
â— Maintain a calendar of these conferences along with recommendations on how Villgro
should participate (as an attendee, as a speaker, as a session host, etc)
â— Provide support to the team on identifying high-potential attendees, setting up 1-1
meetings, and organizing events at these conferences
Required qualification and skills:
â— Bachelor degree is a must
â— Proficient in written and spoken English
â— High level of email etiquette
â— Research-oriented
â— Highly organized and systematic

Reporting Manager: Senior Manager – Investee Success
Location: Villgro Chennai office at IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai
Remuneration: INR 25,000/- per month per Associate
Number of Personnel Required: 2
