Functions / Responsibilities

Avanti was established in 2010 to help improve college access for disadvantaged students. Our programs focus on improving Math and Science learning in Government school systems across India. Avanti has long-standing MoUs with the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, the Chennai Municipal Corporation and the Government of Haryana through which we work with over 3,000 students.

Our work is supported by India’s most reputed foundations and CSR initiatives including Tata Trusts, Tata Motors, MSDF, Volkswagen and GAIL.

We are currently working in 19 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs).

This program helps students prepare for Engineering and Medical competitive exams (IIT-JEE/NEET) through a peer-learning pedagogy. We provide structured academic support to our students along with non-academic support through proper career counselling and mentorship is extended to help our students excel in their journey.

We are hiring for the job role of Program Associate.

The Program Associate is the backbone of Avanti’s classroom, responsible for end-to-end operations for one Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya school including teaching, inspiring, training and motivating students towards achieving their learning goals.

The role of a Program Associate primarily involves the following tasks, functions and responsibilities:

·      Classroom teaching and management

·      Mentoring, career guidance and academic support

·      Parent engagement

·      Data Analysis

We are looking for candidates that have a full-time degree in B.Sc./ M.Sc./ B.E./ B.Tech/ M.Tech. They should be passionate for teaching and working in the education sector, any prior experience in teaching would be an added advantage.

Our current requirement is:
Program Associate (Physics) - 4

Program Associate (Chemistry) - 4

Program Associate (Biology, full-time) - 3

Program Associate (Biology, part-time) - 7

We'll be placing the hired Program Associates in JNV schools in rural areas in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, MP and Jharkhand. Accommodation and food will be provided to all the hired Program Associates.
