Skills and Qualifications:
? Excellent command over the English language
? Writing & editing skills
? Attention to detail
? Feature writing and communication skills
? Bachelor’s degree in sociology, economics, psychology, media, mass communication or English literature preferable
? Diploma course in creative writing, journalism, mass media, mass communication or blog writing

Must Haves:
? A sound understanding of IT and Telecom industries
? More than nodding understanding of current affairs in the business & technology space
? Knowledge of British and American style of English
? Excellent written and spoken English skills

Good to have:
? Knowledge of/ experience in social media

Responsibilities include:
? Quality check for content, language, flow, grammar and punctuation
? Checking facts, discrepancies, ensuring clarity of thoughts and ideas
? Sticking to deadlines, maintaining consistency in editorial style and language specified for each project; maintaining consistency in formatting; adding or reducing content to meet specified wordage
? Reading up on subjects relevant to projects
? Connecting with writers and understanding their writing style (feature/blog writers)

Value Additions

? Focus on good titles/ headlines, on building evolving vocabulary
? Writing reviews/ synopses for television serials, movies, music etc.
