KPMG’s Risk Consulting Advisory Services Practice focuses on fundamental business issues - managing risk, increasing revenues, controlling costs - that organizations, across various industries, should address in order to help them flourish. We help companies to identify and manage risks inherent in business processes and technology systems that support business objectives, and provide them with the information needed to help them meet their strategic and financial goals. Our services are divided into 4 serviceline mainly – IT Advisory, Internal Audit Risk & Compliance Services, Forensic and Financial Risk Management to help clients mitigate risks across an overall risk spectrum. Our clients need to deal effectively with technology related risks and derive maximum value from data and documentation. Our specialists provide independent, jargon free advice and advanced technology capabilities to help our clients proactively manage their technology risks and use their data to its full potential. The IT Advisory team comprises trained professionals with diverse educational backgrounds including business administration, accountancy, engineering, computer science and other disciplines. They are certified from internationally accepted bodies. KPMG provides access to an experienced group of professionals across disciplines, including assurance, corporate finance, advisory and taxation. As a result, we are able to apply a multi-disciplinary approach to projects and formulate a more comprehensive and effective strategy.

SERVICE NETWORK: GDC IT ATTESTATION

ROLE: We are currently seeking freshers / experienced professionals at a Trainee level within IT Advisory (for our KPMG Risk Consulting practice to join us in our Bangalore office. A Trainee would typically be responsible for delivering on specific technology risk services domains as an individual contributor. The role also expects the individual to contribute towards a continuos learning culture within the firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities attributable to this role will include some or all of the following:

• Performing SOC 1/2/3, IT SOX 404 risk assessments and audits and Compliance Security Assessments


• Perform Tests of Design and Implementation and Operating effectiveness of controls


• Working with the KPMG on shore counterparts as part of project/engagement delivery


• Supporting client service delivery by consistently meeting quality guidelines within the established turnaround times and allotted budget for assigned requests


• Ensuring that personal goals with regards to business profitability and quality are achieved


• Complying with the applicable KPMG Risk Management policies


• Participating in continuos knowledge enhancement / knowledge sharing sessions and helping prepare / update the knowledge documents

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university - BBM/BCom with Accounting/Finance Background and BCA/BSc/BE with computer background


• A Post Graduate diploma/degree from an accredited college/university - MBA/MCom with Accounting/Finance background and MCA/MSc/MTech/MBA-IT/MS-IT with Computer background


• The candidate is expected to have strong verbal and written communication skills

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Trainee contract will be for 6 months. Post 6 months following options will be implemented based on individual performance and business requirement 


• the individual will be converted to full-time employee. Graduate trainee will be converted to Aanalyst and Post-Graduate trainee will be converted to Executive


• OR trainee period will be extended for another 3 to 6 months


• OR trainee contract will end


• During the trainee period contract the notice period will be of 2 weeks.


• HR discussion followed by a technical interaction with the line Manager and a final round with the Director / Partner of the practice. In certain cases there could be an additional round of interviews with the on-shore teams.
