Functions/Responsibilities

• Translate
  overall Citrix requirements and objectives into technical strategies and
  project plans.

• Support
  Citrix Presentation Server / XenApp Infrastructure Servers, with load management/balancing,
  monitoring, problem resolution, enhancements, and capacity planning

• Support
  remote users through the Citrix Secure Gateway, and dedicated links.

• Work
  collaboratively with technical teams and vendors to provide advanced technical
  consultation on design, implementation and integration (when applicable) of
  Citrix environment.

• Evaluate
  gaps between strategies and operations to implement process improvements in all
  aspects of systems implementations and workflows, identifying standard procedures,
  optimizations, automation, and improvements; then promoting them through
  coaching and training.

• Engineer
  appropriate Citrix technology solutions for various Applications using Citrix
  XenApp/XenDesktop

• Presentation
  Server, XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, Netscaler, Microsoft Application
  Virtualization, and related technologies. Strong focus on the newer
  technologies, specifically XenDesktop and VDI.

• Setup,
  configure and maintain Citrix based computing environments to support research Projects.

• Provide
  guidance to other members of the organization as to security and maintenance
  best practices pertaining to Citrix platforms

• Provide
  written project requirements, design specifications, implementation plans and
  project schedules to the Project Review Committee based on provided
  requirements.

• Research
  and provide input on new and upcoming technologies and determine how they can
  be leveraged within the organization.

• Troubleshoot
  and diagnose performance bottlenecks and application failures on Citrix
  platforms.

• Coordinate
  system development tasks to include design, integration and formal testing.

• Confers
  with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.

• Establishes
  effective practices for third level support.

• Serve
  as a technical resource for Business Units, Store Systems, and other groups in
  the development of standards, system design, and integration.

• Develop
  system architecture to support and improve business operations.

• Develops
  quality assurance test plans.

• Develop
  resource plans for projects that require engineering resources.
