Job Summary

Udhyam Shiksha Program Facilitator is responsible for leading our entrepreneurial mindset development program for young adults between the age group of 15- 25 years who come from low socio-economic backgrounds.  The program is designed to help our participants experience entrepreneurship through our intensive 6 or 10-week programs. 

Functions/Responsibilities

Role of the facilitator is at the core of our program implementation, as she/ he will be responsible for helping the participants develop mindsets and skills through activities designed to enable learning through experience.  We are looking for energetic, committed and compassionate facilitators who believe in change by unleashing human potential. 

Skills required

• Manage a class of 15-30 participants
• Ability to empathize and build a bond
• Create a safe space such that each participant opens up and feels free to express without judgement 
• Ability to inspire and motivate an audience such that it leads to actions
• Actively listen, ask probing question and improvise a session in order to meet the expected outcome
• Stay energized through the day in order to actively engage the participants
• Prepare and work hard to meet the intended outcomes for each session

• Belief in potential of each participant
• Belief in importance of developing mindsets
• Belief in experiential/ activity-based learning
• Openness to allowing failure and facilitate learning from it

Knowledge

• Understanding of adult learning techniques to engage and manage energy
• Knowledge of experiential/ activity-based learning techniques of adult learning techniques to engage and manage energy

Other Details

• Minimum 2 years of teaching/ facilitating experience
• Proficiency in Kannada/ Tamil
• Background in psychology is appreciated

Commitment

This is a part-time position with a possibility of converting into a full-time position. The role requires the facilitator to commit 3-4 weeks for the facilitation per program. Before this, the facilitator would be required to engage with our team for 10-15 hours of preparation.
