Functions / Responsibilities
About The/Nudge Foundation India will continue to add 1 million to its workforce
every month for the next 15 years, most of whom come from impoverished
backgrounds. Our growing economy with a massive skill-deficit provides real
opportunity for them to escape the cycle of poverty, through gainful employment
but imparting livelihood training is proving to be insufficient.
The/Nudge Foundation focuses on sustainable poverty alleviation by building a
strong 360-degree life, learning and economic foundation for poor in residential -
Gurukuls-, along with lifelong support system. Our goal is to pull 1 million people
sustainably out of poverty by 2020.
The/Nudge Foundation is a collective initiative of some of India's best leaders and
entrepreneurs, with a dream to see a poverty-free India within our generation.
Apply if you are...
• A graduate in any discipline. Masters' in HR preferred but not required
• A professional with at least 3-4 years of experience in HR
At The/Nudge, you will...
Policies and Processes
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the
overall business strategy
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands,
grievances or other issues
• Undertake regular salary reviews, administering payroll and maintaining
employee records.
• Do the formal onboarding and exit process.
• Plan, and sometimes delivering, training - including inductions for new
staff.
• Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and
benefits.
Employee Engagement
• Support current and future business needs through the
development, engagement, motivation and preservation of
human capital
• Plan, Lead and execute on employee experiences, creating an
atmosphere of inclusion and trust among employees.
• Design, develop and implement new creative and innovative
opportunities for employees to engage in a creative and dynamic
atmosphere
Culture
• Build culture that aligns the organization on its spirit.
• Facilitate sharing of best practice and knowledge across the organisation.
• Facilitate and solve for employee grievances
You need to come with...
• Excellent interpersonal skills with written and oral communication skills.
• High level of empathy to solve employee issues.
• An analytical ability and comfort with numbers.
• An excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• A strong desire to make a difference by working in the not-for-profit
sector
It would be awesome if you also have...
Prior experience as an HR ops person in startups.
