Functions / Responsibilities

The MINDSPARK team at Educational Initiatives is involved in creating a self-directed
mathematics learning product for high school students. We are looking for passionate
individuals interested in content development who would love to go deeper into how
high school children learn mathematics.
Responsibilities
• Studying textbooks and exploring online resources to design math content for
high school
o Review textbooks to understand how different concepts are taught
o Research curricula from other educational systems and online resources to learn
about the best approaches to teaching a concept
o Create scaffolded content aligned towards teaching concepts in a pedagogically
sound and engaging manner
• Review of past assessments, competitive examination papers and creation of
diagnostic test items aligned to chapters and grades
o Document question types sourced from past exam papers of ICSE, CBSE and
international boards
o Creating diagnostic tests (single topic and entire grade) to effectively gauge student
learning
Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching mathematics or developing mathematics
curriculum
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to create and source engaging content for students
• Ability to critically analyse content to deliver a high-quality learning experience for the
child
• Basic technological awareness (Windows functions, MS Office, Google mail features)

Preferred Skills
• Studied subjects which had a background in mathematics (at the Bachelor level or above)
• Ability to interact in a productive manner with parents and students with the goal of
gleaning information that will help in content and product development
• Should enjoy working in a team and across teams (design, IT etc.)
• Should like to engage in healthy debates and arguments that are critical for strong content
and product development
