The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a not-for-profit organization which strives to fight issues like hunger and malnutrition in India, by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government and government-aided schools. Today Akshaya Patra is the world’s largest (not-for-profit run) mid-day meal programme serving wholesome food to over 1.76 million children from 15,024 schools in 36 locations across 12 states in India.

 

AIKYA is a youth initiative of The Akshaya Patra Foundation which was started with the aim to create a global network of youth who love to serve their society and develop them into social leaders who can bring a positive change in the community. Through social initiatives, AIKYA invests in youth who show the potential to grow into leaders of society. At AIKYA, we undertake different community development projects which include school and student transformation, global citizenship, sustainability and leadership.

 

We are currently hiring graduates of 2019 batch for the following role:

 

A. Roles available: Project Coordinator (Youth Volunteering and Engagements, Global Citizenship, Social Responsibility and Innovation Projects)

B. Qualification: Graduate / Final Year Student (in any discipline)

C. Location: Bangalore

D. Skills Required:

1. excellent communication skills
2. strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people
3. experience of managing or coordinating projects and volunteers
4. an empathy with volunteers and an understanding of their needs
5. the capacity to inspire and motivate others
6. good organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks
7. a flexible and non-judgmental approach to people and work
8. a good understanding of their roles and readiness to learn
