Manager – PR (2 Openings)
III. Pre-requisite
a. 6-8 years of experience. Experience in a Public Relations or Journalism is desired.
b. Graduate or post-graduate in English Literature/ Communications/ Journalism/
Management with a strong affinity towards creative writing which shall be reflected in their
articulation in storytelling
c. Ability to quickly understand complex business concepts
d. Impeccable communication skills - oral, written & presentation.
e. Confident with an easy positive image to motivate & lead team member
f. Strong organizational and leadership skills
g. Ability to develop, execute and drive results
h. Ability to prioritise and plan effectively & execute multi tasking, as required.
i. Appreciation of client/Project timelines and ability to work within time frames.

i. Track & update the client industry/sector development regularly (daily/or otherwise,
as required & agreed)

i. Create message-based creative communications programs that exceed client

ii. Motivate and mentor team on drafting press releases, pitches and all content
development
iii. Directing team on monthly / weekly initiatives for all clients
iv. Taking task updates with Asst Managers or Senior PR Consultants daily
v. Ensure Asst Managers or Senior PR Consultants are adhering to all systems and
processes (send briefing documents, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports)
d. Team Management
i. Mentoring & Supervision
ï‚· Draft final quarterly plans
ï‚· Monitor plan verses delivery with Asst Managers or senior PR Consultants
weekly and monthly
ï‚· Approve storylines and follow up stories based on tracking on daily basis
ii. Coodination & Monitoring
iii. Appreciation & Reporting
ï‚· Ensure & Assure high standard of Professional behaviour at all times with the
client
1. All meetings with client will have an agenda & a closure on each of the
agenda points
2. Minutes of such meetings to be drawn up and sent across to the client
within 1 working day of the meeting
ï‚· Escalation of client concerns & pain points with reporting manager & conclude
with a response back to the client with a possible resolution.
ï‚· Briefing Document for media interactions to be drafted with first cut
information on Journalist / Publication / links to story references / basic
questions. To be shared with the supervisor at least 50 hours prior to the
interaction

i. Source leads, work towards adding clients and bring in referrals from existing clients
ii. Attending the weekly meetings with clients
iii. Client Satisfaction reflected by periodic appreciation mails.
iv. Client Retention with minimal fuss and persuasion.

i. Mentoring
ï‚· Mentor the team to adhere to brand-comm process & plan
ï‚· Support the team in handling in the demands of their role
ï‚· Train team on managing media & on key pitches
ï‚· Helping the team to scale up in their performance
ï‚· Uphold the team in ensuring coordination with media on key pitches
ï‚·
ii. Supervision
ï‚· Uphold the responsibility to the team of receiving at least two appreciation
mail from every client every month
ï‚· Monitor the process of setting up regular update calls with clients
ï‚· Ensure media list is most updated
 A comprehensive national media database, based on the clients’ sector &
industry, is to be maintained at all times; for faster accessibility, it is
recommended that the Executive/s store the mobile numbers of the
journalists (from the database), on their mobile phones
iii. Resource Management & Performance Reviews
ï‚· Draft resource plan quarterly/half-yearly & yearly in conjunction with
business plan
ï‚· Escalate resource issues to the stakeholders in a confidential & timely
manner.
ï‚· Assign, delegate & monitor responsibilities within the team
ï‚· Understand the strength & performance of each member in the team
ï‚· Conduct Performance Reviews for the team & submit the same to the
Stakeholders, in a timely manner
ï‚· Provide constructive Performance feedback.
I. Process Adherence
l. Adhere to the brand-comm Client Service Level expectation of Response within
an hour of receiving the client’s communication in any form – message /text/
email/ call
a. Adhere to brand-comm Reporting process including WIP, Monthly, Quarter and
Annual Reports
a. Maintain an updated Media mapping and Tracker, at all times
a. Client Data to be captured in a systematic manner, as per brand-comm method of
uniform folder nomenclature
a. Responsible to track and update teams in other cities about their client’s (irrespective
of location) mentions and media developments
J. Organization-wide Responsibility
k. Contribute to Make brand-comm better (referred to as MBB)

a. Take feedbacks positively and progress to work on resolutions
