Job Description – ‘Teaching Specialist’

POSITION SUMMARY:

As part of ConnectEd charter to provide access and excellence, connected shares this commitment

Responsible for making knowledge accessible to all students, developing student’s cognitive capacity

and respect for learning, implementing ILP (Individual Learning Plans), fostering students’ self-esteem

and motivation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Minimum Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited

college or university or meets Highly Qualified requirements.

 Previous experience of successful classroom teaching preferred. Freshers with a flair for

teaching are also encouraged to apply.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Creating a curriculum based on the best knowledge in the field

 Teaching the material with online video lessons

 Leading online discussions of the course material via forums and web chat

 Responding to student comments and questions posted online

 Evaluating student papers, projects, tests and other assessments

 Maintaining records on student progress/grades

 Developing activities and resources, strategies and methods for a variety of teaching, creating

lesson plans and substitute teaching plans that are aligned learning objectives with the school

guides.

 Assess and evaluates performance, behaviour, and progress of students in grades, progress

reports and assessing comprehension of learning objectives.

 Contributes to professional growth of self and colleagues including sharing and planning

curriculum, staying current with educational trends, and continuing professional growth to

meet the state and school requirements including current teaching certificates.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with a wide-range of people including teachers,

parents, students, alumni, corporate partners, vendors and admissions personnel.

 Proven written and verbal communication skills.

 Strong organizational and planning skills

 Effective problem solver and self-motivated learner

 Ability to use instructional adaptive technology tools in online courses

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

 Proficiency with technology, computers and Microsoft Office Suite.

 Regular and predictable attendance is essential

CTC: During the probationary period of six months, a consolidated salary of 30,000 INR/month, will

be paid. Upon satisfactory completion of the probation period an increment with one year contract will

be considered.

PLACE OF POSTING: These positions are based out of Bangalore and office is located in Kothanur,

Bangalore.
