CHRIST University Achieves a Historic Milestone in Social Outreach

CHRIST University is proud to announce a significant milestone in its Social Outreach Program. Under our PAN-India Insurance Outreach Project, Suraksha Chakra, Marasur Gram Panchayat of Anekal Taluka has become the first Gram Panchayat in Karnataka to achieve 100% insurance coverage.
This remarkable achievement was declared on 5^th March 2025 by Ms. Latha Kumari, IAS, CEO of Zilla Panchayat. As a recognition of this success, she presented an award to Marasur Gram Panchayat on Wednesday. Ramesh (president, Marsur GP) and Murali (PDO, Marsur GP), along with the members, represented Marsur GP.

Through this nationwide initiative, CHRIST University aims to insure six lakh villages across India by 2033. The next phase of the project will commence in Jharkhand on March 10, further extending the reach of this impactful mission.

The first insured gram panchayat under Suraksha Chakra project was at Chakkittapara gram panchayat at Kozhikode district in Kerala.
