ABOUT MISTAY
MiStay is a travel-tech startup that allows booking hotel rooms by pack of hours with flexible check-in/ check-out times. Founded by alumni of IIT Madras, MiStay is backed by investors such as Axilor Ventures & Infosys founder Kris Gopalakrishnan and has been listed among "Top 5 Websites globally for Hourly or Day-use Hotels". MiStay is currently operational in 90 cities with over 1000 partner hotels.
ABOUT THE ROLE
1. Business Development Executive/ Territory Manager (Permanent Role)
The selected students will work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The core responsibilities of the role is mentioned in the link below:
1. Market Study: Study the hotel supply landscape of the respective cities as per territory, map with the existing partner network and set the plan/ roadmap with timeline as per priority for new partnerships
2. New Hotel Partnership: Reach out to and meet new hotels as per the plan, pitch the concept of MiStay and partnership proposal, do the contracting and get the hotels on-boarded at MiStay platform
3. Relationship Management: Manage very healthy relationships with all the partner hotels in the respective territories by periodically meeting them and collaborate with them to maximize their sales & revenue from them:
a.) Rate Competitiveness: Consistently monitor and ensure the rates of the hotels in MiStay are very competitive, else discuss with the hotels to get rates revised
b.) Inventory Allocation: Ensure the required inventory is allocated to MiStay by the hotel
c.) Performance Analysis: Analyse the monthly performance of hotels at MiStay and identify opportunities for improvement, discuss the analysis with the partner hotels to collaboratively take steps for improving performance further
4. Brand Visibility: Maximize the visibility of MiStay brand in respective territory by ensuring MiStay brand collaterals are placed at all partner hotels and by representing MiStay in various relevant events/ tradeshows, etc
5. Alliances & Partnerships: Identify and execute other potential partnerships in the respective territory based on synergies to boosts sales

2. HR Representative (6 month Internship/ Permanent Role)
The selected students will work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The core responsibilities of the role is mentioned in the link below:
1. Recruitment: a.) Source candidates for different roles based on the requirements through various channels, screen, and shortlist the candidates based on required skill-sets b.) Conduct preliminary interview and set-up interviews with shortlisted candidates, and assist in the onboarding of new team members
2. Employee Engagement & Process Design a.) Take initiatives to drive employee engagement, productivity, and work with management in devising the employee development plan and take ownership of driving employees' happiness in the company b.) Develop the required employee-related policies in coordination with the founders
c.). Create and conceptualize new HR processes and interventions to help make strategic changes in the function
3. Administration a.) Manage office vendors such as cook, housekeeping staff, etc. b.) Manage the day-to-day purchases for office supply, kitchen, etc. c.) Assist in the bookkeeping d.) Follow-up with customers for receivables and do invoice reconciliation wherever required e.) Procure and keep track of the office inventory such as phone, laptop, sim cards, etc.; coordinate with the accounts team to ensure the regular bills are paid and assist in bookkeeping
